Audi e-tron GE vs Audi Q6 e-tron GF

Audi e-tron
GE · 2018 – 2025
The first-generation e-tron (GE), Audi’s first all-electric SUV.

Audi Q6 e-tron
GF · 2024 – 2026
The first-generation Q6 e-tron (GF), on the PPE 800V platform.
Audi e-tron
Pick the GE for the 55 quattro’s 408 hp and 150 kW DC charging — ideally a post-2019 car with the coolant recall done.
Audi Q6 e-tron
Pick the GF for the 270 kW DC charging and the performance RWD’s ~625 km WLTP — ideally the quattro with the larger battery.

Driving experience
Audi e-tron
Smooth, silent and effortlessly luxurious. The e-tron rides with genuine isolation, steers lightly and accurately, and accelerates strongly from its dual-motor quattro with none of the fuss of a combustion engine. It is heavy, which shows in corners and in real-world range, but the payoff is a hushed, relaxed calm that suits long journeys. Regenerative braking is strong enough for one-pedal driving in traffic. It was the first large electric SUV from Audi, and it drives more like a luxury saloon than a tall, heavy crossover.
Audi Q6 e-tron
Quiet, quick and far more efficient than the old e-tron. The Q6 rides comfortably, steers accurately with decent weighting, and feels more agile and lighter on its feet than the GE, helped by the newer PPE platform. Rear-drive is the base; dual-motor quattro adds pace and all-wheel traction. The 800-volt architecture charges far faster on suitable chargers, and the larger battery delivers competitive real-world range. It is a more modern, more rounded electric SUV than the e-tron, with the same hushed refinement and without the efficiency penalty of the early car.
