Audi e-tron
Pick the GE for the 55 quattro’s 408 hp and 150 kW DC charging — ideally a post-2019 car with the coolant recall done.
Peugeot 3008
Pick the T84 for an affordable, comfortable early 3008 with a roomy boot — ideally a 2.0 HDi.

Driving experience
Audi e-tron
Smooth, silent and effortlessly luxurious. The e-tron rides with genuine isolation, steers lightly and accurately, and accelerates strongly from its dual-motor quattro with none of the fuss of a combustion engine. It is heavy, which shows in corners and in real-world range, but the payoff is a hushed, relaxed calm that suits long journeys. Regenerative braking is strong enough for one-pedal driving in traffic. It was the first large electric SUV from Audi, and it drives more like a luxury saloon than a tall, heavy crossover.
Peugeot 3008
The T84 is the 3008 that put Peugeot into the crossover game, and it drives more like a tall hatch than an SUV. Built on the PF2 bones shared with the 308, it stays reasonably light, so the front axle turns in cleanly and the raised body adds visibility without making the ride busy. The high-set driving position and big glass make it feel solid and easy to place, while most versions ride on a comfort-tuned rear that irons out broken tarmac. The 1.6 THP is eager, the 2.0 HDi pulls strongly and quietly, and the 6-speed automatic shifts without fuss. The HYbrid4 adds electric drive but is more complex. It is a comfortable, easy crossover, not a sporty one.
