The G05 is the X5 at its most luxurious, with a premium cabin, cutting-edge tech and efficient petrol, diesel and plug-in-hybrid engines.

Upgrades

The CLAR platform made the G05 lighter and stiffer than the F15.
New B57/B58 engines replaced the F15’s N57/N55/N63.
iDrive 7 with digital instruments replaced the F15’s older system.
The xDrive45e plug-in hybrid doubled the 40e’s electric range (around 80 vs 30 km).
