The VW ID.3 — the electric Golf of the future.

The ID.3 is the first car on Volkswagen’s new MEB electric platform, designed from the ground up as an EV.

Upgrades

The MEB platform architecture replaces the e-Golf conversion
Range grew to over 400 km, up from the e-Golf’s roughly 230 km
A single-speed e-axle with a rear-mounted motor replaced front-wheel drive
The MEB platform’s flat floor yields far more interior space

Fixes

Engine & drivetrain

The rear-mounted electric motor drives the rear wheels through a single-speed e-axle. The 45, 58 and 77 kWh batteries deliver 150 to 204 hp.
